It all started with a wonderful story

It’s Cannes back in the summer of 1986. A man is zooming up and down the Croisette on his Solex, looking for some jewellery for his mum. He’s a dispatch rider for the tip-top jewellers on the Côte d’Azur, but he wants to give his mother the most beautiful present possible. Going from jewellers to jewellers, he soon bitterly realises that jewellery is only for the privileged few. Then, and there, he decides to turn a page in the history of jewellery. “He” is a young man who, a few years later, will found Histoire d’Or, jewellery stores where everyone can afford to treat themselves or give someone a dream gift. Jewellery, in other words, that is in reach of everyone, that is at the heart of all our stories and all your stories.
